Amy Liptak (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate with Bloom Behavioral Health. Amy provides services to adolescents or adults for individual, family, or group therapy.
Amy describes herself as a warm, caring, supportive, affirming of all lifestyles, affirming of all sexual orientations, affirming of all gender identities and gender expressions. Amy prides herself on creating a safe and brave space for clinical work with her clients.
Amy attended Northwestern University and obtained a Master’s of Arts in Counseling. She also received a Bachelors in Psychology.
Amy is a member of The American Counseling Association (ACA), The World Professional Association for Transgender Health (WPATH), and International Association of Trauma Professionals (IATP).
Amy’s Approach To Treatment
Amy believes mental health is the cornerstone that allows clients to thrive in their life and relationships. She recognizes the social and relational complexities of life that can impact clients mental health and well-being. Amy is open and affirming. She upholds the mission and values of Bloom Behavioral Health.
Amy offers comprehensive mental health services to her clients. Amy’s clinical work provides clients the tools and skills to required for their journey of emotional and physical healing. Amy’s therapeutic process allows clients to thrive within their life’s circumstances, while living fully and authentically.
Amy believes in a client-centered approach to treatment. She focuses on the therapeutic relationship and the empathic connection with her client(s). Types of therapy Amy utilizes include EMDR, eclectic, humanistic, mindfulness-based, somatic, and trauma-focused approaches.
